Tregrehan Garden

Tucked into St. Austell Bay, Tregrehan Garden is a real hidden gem. Non-commercialised and unassuming, this woodland garden boasts an impressive botanical diversity including wonderful rhododendrons and camellias collected over time from all over the world and towering conifers from the early Victorian Plant.

 

Many trees have reached exceptional size with at least two dozen being the largest of their type in the UK including the tallest Gingko, among many conifers and oaks especially. Over 150 trees within this garden have reached champion status in the UK.

When to visit:

This Cornish Garden is best in April & May, during these spring months its open on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. During the summer its open on Wednesdays only or on request.

Plan your day:

You can easily spend a couple of hours here, wandering around the 20 acres. There are some walking trails as well as the old grain mill, walled garden, and a glasshouse.
