Polperro Village

There is no shortage of traditional, picturesque villages in Cornwall, however Polperro has got to be one of my favourites.

Polperro is a small village with traffic free, winding streets and charming cottages. Like many villages in Cornwall it is also a small fishing harbour, filled with character and heritage.

Things to do
The coast around this area is absolutely stunning, so why not take a stroll along the coastal paths and enjoy the views. The village itself is very charming and you will find many pubs, cafes and art and crafts shops there. There is a small beach exposed at low tide and just around the corner from it there are stunning, natural pools.

Natural rock pools, we visited in January and saw people actually swimming there!

How to get there & when to visit
Situated near Looe, it takes around 40 minutes to drive here from Rockleigh Place. The car park is just outside the village, only a short walk away. Winter is a great time to visit as there are fewer tourists and pubs, cafes and shops are open all year around. In the summer you can enjoy the nicer weather, local ice cream and have a dip in the natural pools.
